Why the make and model matter for AC repair
Two air conditioners can look identical and still behave very differently inside. Modern inverter units have variable-speed compressors and electronic control boards; older fixed-speed units are mechanically simpler. Refrigerant types differ. Error codes mean different things on different brands. Part availability depends on the maker and the model year. So the first question we ask about any AC is: what exactly is it?
We are an independent repair business and do not claim to be an authorised service centre for any manufacturer. What we can do is diagnose faults and repair what is repairable, and tell you plainly when something is beyond us.
Finding your AC's model details
- Split AC, indoor unitLook for a label on the side or underneath the indoor unit, or behind the front panel. It shows the model and serial numbers, electrical rating and refrigerant type.
- Split AC, outdoor unitA second label on the side or front panel of the outdoor unit has the outdoor model and serial number.
- Window or through-wall ACThe label is usually on the side of the chassis or inside the front grille. You may need to remove the front filter to see it.
- Central or ducted systemCheck the air handler and the outdoor unit; they each carry a data plate. Photograph both.
- Remote and manualThe remote model or manual cover can help identify the make if labels are hard to read.

What to send us
- The brand name printed on the unit.
- Photos of the model labels on both the indoor and outdoor units.
- The error code if the unit displays one, or a note of any flashing lights.
- A short description of the fault and when it began.
- The approximate age of the unit and any earlier repairs.
With these details we can tell you what we can do, and what we cannot.
Warranty and authorised repairs
If your air conditioner is still under manufacturer warranty, check the terms before arranging any repair. Many warranties require work to be done by approved providers and may be affected by unauthorised repairs. If in doubt, ask the manufacturer or the supplier you bought it from. We will not pretend to offer something we are not authorised to provide.

AC brand FAQs
Can you repair an AC brand you do not list?
Maybe. We do not publish a brand list on this page, so contact us with the make and model and we will confirm whether we can help.
Does it matter whether my AC is an inverter model?
It affects how we diagnose, because inverter units rely more on electronics. Tell us if you know, or send a photo of the label.
Can you source parts for older models?
It depends on the brand, model and age. After diagnosis we will explain what is possible.
Will using you invalidate my AC warranty?
It might, if the warranty requires authorised service. Check your terms before booking any repair.
